1. Agreement
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) explain how members (“you” or “your”) may use the Self Directed Support Network England’s (“SDSNE”) website and online platforms. By using SDSNE’s services, you agree to these Terms and the SDSNE House Rules. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the services.
1.1 User Groups
- Providers: Individual care providers.
- Commissioners: Third-party suppliers with paid accounts.
- Contributors: Users who are neither Providers nor Suppliers
- Sponsors: Organisations that pay an annual sponsorship fee to SDSNE
These Terms apply to all members.
1.2 Acceptance
By using SDSNE, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, do not use SDSNE’s services. You can terminate this Agreement at any time by closing your account.
1.3 Services Provided
SDSNE’s services are provided either free or paid for information purposes only. Transactions with third-party suppliers are subject to their terms and not affiliated with SDSNE.

3. Using the SDSNE Community
- The community is for personal use by professionals in social care to share information and ideas.
- You are responsible for costs incurred in using SDSNE.
- SDSNE is primarily for English users; if accessed outside of England, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

3.1 User Responsibilities
You are responsible for content you publish and activities conducted through your account. You must not:
- Engage in illegal or fraudulent conduct.
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Use automated means to access information.
- Share malware or malicious content.
- Promote unsolicited advertising.
- Represent that SDSNE endorses any other business without consent.
- Harm minors.
- Gain unauthorised access to systems.
4. Membership Options
SDSNE offers different membership tiers for Providers, each with associated fees.
5. Charges, Payment, and Access
Membership can be requested by individuals or organisations. Details of charges and payment options are provided during registration. Membership and sponsorship fees are non-refundable and payable in advance.
6. Interactive Services and Profile Settings
Messaging and other communication services are available on SDSNE. Content must comply with the SDSNE House Rules and can be edited or removed if necessary.
7. Content Standards
Content must be original, accurate, lawful, and not offensive. SDSNE reserves the right to remove unsuitable content.
8. Linking and Framing
You may link to SDSNE with certain conditions. SDSNE can request the removal of links at any time.
9. Using Our Name and Logo
Use of SDSNE trademarks and logos requires prior written consent.
10. Breach
Breaches of these Terms can result in termination or suspension of your account, and legal actions if necessary.
11. Registration and Password Security
Registration is required to access the community. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
12. Infringing Content
Inappropriate or infringing content will be removed. You will indemnify SDSNE against claims arising from your content.
13. Events
Events may require additional fees. SDSNE is not responsible for travel arrangements or additional charges incurred at events.
14. Your Privacy and Personal Information
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Event attendees consent to the use of their information as described.
15. Ownership, Use, and Intellectual Property Rights
SDSNE retains ownership of all content on the platform. You must not reproduce or commercialise any content without permission.
16. Software
Any software provided by SDSNE is subject to terms and conditions.
17. Availability, Accuracy of Information, and Third-Party Sites
SDSNE does not guarantee continuous availability of services. Information provided is on an “as is” basis, and SDSNE is not responsible for third-party content.
18. Limitation on Our Liability
SDSNE’s liability is limited as permitted by law. We are not responsible for indirect losses or events beyond our control.
19. Events Beyond Our Control
SDSNE is not liable for events outside our control.
20. Variation
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SDSNE constitutes acceptance of any changes.

This Agreement continues until terminated by either party. Termination results in loss of access to SDSNE services.
22. General
Additional terms from third-party services may apply. Disputes are subject to the laws of England and Wales.
